Rev. Paul A. Blackmon, Sr., 1st Vice Moderator
Paul is a life-long resident of Pensacola, Florida, who has been happily married to a lovely and supportive wife, Jean Nearer Blackmon for 38 years. They are the proud parents of three children: Tiffany, Paul and Sean. He has served as the proud pastor of the First Baptist Church of Ferry Pass for 13 years.
He currently serves as the 1st Vice Moderator of the First West Florida Baptist District Association and was formally Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Florida General Baptist Convention, Inc. Laymen Auxiliary; former Laymen president of the First West Florida Baptist District Association; former president of the First West Florida Congress of Christian Education, and the former Chairman of the Board of Directors of the First West Florida Baptist District Association.
The Reverend Paul A. Blackmon, Sr., received his A.S. Degree in Criminal Justice from Pensacola Junior College, his B.S. Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of West Florida, and his B.A. Degree in Theology from West Florida Baptist Institute. In 2013, he graduated Summa Cum Laude having received a Master of Arts Degree in Pastoral Studies at Selma University, Selma, Alabama. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Ministry at Jacksonville Theological Seminary, Jacksonville, FL.
